North Oxfordshire Scouts Have Their Say.....

On 12th May 2013, Scouts from around the District came together for an afternoon of fun! Not only did they take part in a Laser Mission Event, but they spent time with Tim Kidd, Chief Commissioner of England.

The session with Tim was a fact finding mission.....What do our Scouts want from the District??? It has certainly given some 'food for thought' to the District Team :-) One or two weird and wonderful ideas.....lots of good ones!

.....watch this space for new, exciting things for our Scouts to take part in......

1st Bartons Scouts raising money for ShelterBox

shelter_inside_new.jpgAs Scouts, we often raise money for our Scout Group in order to fund many of our adventures. However, after being inspired by the work that ShelterBox do around the world, we thought we'd raise money for them instead.Kestrels_ready_to_go.JPG

ShelterBox is an international disaster relief charity that delivers emergency shelter, warmth and dignity to people affected by disaster worldwide.

So, we are raising money for ShelterBox on Sat 26th March 2011 by hiking from Middle Barton to Youlbury Scout Activity Centre near Oxford. The distance is 18 miles and we aim to do it in one day!

Scouts from North Oxfordshire attended the Gold Chief Scout's Award presentations on 19th March.

Scouts from 1st Adderbury, 1st Grimsbury, 1st Heyford Park, 1st The Sibfords, 6th Chipping Norton, 7th Banbury and 7th Banbury all received certificates at the County presentation ceremony on Saturday 19th March.
